When designing this medical family practice, we wanted to reflect the urban vibe of the Beaches area in Toronto. We aimed for a cozy, mid-modern feel that combines cool urban elements with a welcoming, grounded atmosphere. By using a mix of stained and solid wood, natural wood elements, and warm ceramics, we created a space with rich textures that feels both inviting and comfortable, like a blend of a family home and a cutting-edge medical practice without the clinical pretence. The addition of decorative lighting and wall covering accents helps to de-escalate stress and promote a calmer mindset for both staff and patients. Even though it's been over five years since it opened, the design still looks fresh and timeless. Our focus is on creating interiors that are practical, true to their surroundings, and built to last, knowing that many medical offices won't see a renovation for 15 years or more.
