When transforming an industrial shell with its exposed steel ceiling and raw brickwork into the headquarters for the fashion brand Urban Planet, our designers chose to embrace uncompromising graphics as the project’s main driving force. We anchored the design in a bold, black-and-white chevron floor pattern that creates an immediate sense of movement, drawing visitors deep into the space. Our custom large-scale mural, featuring graphic silhouettes in striped dresses, echoes this optical rhythm and turns what could have been a simple passage into an immersive runway.
To counterbalance this intense visual energy, our team carefully curated a dialogue of opposing textures. Raw cinder blocks and red brick piers stand in deliberate contrast to soft, inviting furniture. We opted for sculptural, rounded sofas in tactile white bouclé to temper the architecture's hard industrial edges. Paired with low asymmetrical coffee tables, plush black armchairs, and a subtly textured rug, these pieces form an intimate lounge zone suited for informal meetings and creative exchanges.
The lighting strategy we developed highlights these distinct functional areas, combining technical track spotlights mounted under the dark ceiling with dramatic black pendant lights and sleek, multi-arm chandeliers over the seating clusters. Further inside, our studio incorporated a prep and vanity station featuring an illuminated mirror, tailor-made for the brand's fast-paced content creation and photo shoot requirements. Large-leaf tropical plants in matte black planters and a subtle tinted glass partition introduce organic warmth to the monochrome backdrop. Rather than disguising the structure’s utilitarian past, our design elevates it, translating raw industrial space into a sophisticated, multi-layered environment for modern fashion.
